Cuba Gooding Jr. Will Star in “One in the Chamber” and “Love Letters in the Sand”

    The last Cuba Gooding Jr. update reported on the site was just last month, when Tambay wrote this post about Gooding Jr. heading to Australia to shoot Brian Trechard-Smith‘s mystery/thriller Deception.

    According to his IMDB, Gooding Jr. will also star in the feature films One in the Chamber andLove Letters in the Sand, both in production this month.

    One in the Chamber, directed by William Kaufman and produced by Motion Picture Corporation of America, started filming this month in Bucharest, Romania, according to this FilmNewEurope.com site article. The film will also star Dolph Lundgren and Billy Murrayand is set to be released sometime next year.

    Gooding Jr. will play Ray Carver, an assasin “playing both sides in a Russian gang war and becoming the target of an unknown enemy.”

    Letters in the Sand, directed by Douglas A. Raine and produced by BGE Productions, is currently in production according to the film’s Facebook page. The film will star Gooding Jr., Kristy SwansonJohnathon Schaech, among others.

    The film’s synopsis reads: “Norman Baxter was a homeless alcoholic that lived for thirty years in the woods until he was court ordered to New Start Rehabilitation Center. Deanna Gray, develops a special bond with him and through great adversity, arranges for him to stay in the church she attends. Based on a true story, this movie offers hope no matter how bad one’s life is. Love Letters In The Sand has been compared to Pay It Forward, As Good As it Gets, and The Blind Side.” Cuba will play the role of Norman Baxter.

    The film is set to be released November later this year.
