Director, Production

Kaan Karahan is Director of Production for Motion Picture Corporation of America. Among his responsibilities are traveling to locations, sourcing and developing original material, and helping develop MPCA’s current slate of projects.

Karahan was an associate producer on Amazon’s HOTEL FOR THE HOLIDAYS, and had the opportunity to serve as executive producer on Paramount’s indie coming-of-age film WINTER SPRING SUMMER FALL and THE IMAGE OF YOU, a thriller based on the work of Best Selling author Adele Parks,

Having grown up in Istanbul, Turkey, Mr. Karahan was immersed in the film and TV industry from a very young age. He learned from his father, Hakan Karahan, who is an accomplished actor and author, and his uncle, Burak Duruman, a pioneer of Turkish TV game shows who produced Turkish versions of WHEEL OF FORTUNE, FAMILY FEUD, and other beloved American shows.

Among Karahan’s previous experiences are some of the most successful TV shows in Turkish television, including YASAK ELMA and KADIN. He also spent several years as a music executive and writer at Stache Records.

Karahan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the University of Miami.
