Lindsay Lohan Finds Herself at the Center of a Chaotic Wedding in First Look at Netflix Rom-Com Irish Wish

Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Irish Wish’ begins streaming on Netflix March 15

Netflix is sending Lindsay Lohan to Ireland for her next movie.

As the streamer rolled out glimpses at many of its upcoming movies and television series for 2024 on Thursday, it published the first photo from Irish Wish, the upcoming rom-com that serves as Lohan’s second Netflix collaboration after the 2022 holiday film Falling for Christmas.

The first image from Irish Wish shows Lohan, 37, kneeling on the ground at a wedding as she makes a call on her cell phone, with flowers strewn about the floor and wedding guests appearing confused around her.

Lohan — who recently made a cameo appearance in the Mean Girls movie musical — plays a woman named Maddie, who attends a wedding in Ireland as a bridesmaid to her best friend. Maddie is in love with the groom-to-be, though.

“When the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend, Maddie puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland,” reads an official synopsis for the film. “Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely.”

Irish Wish is directed by Janeen Damian, whom Lohan previously worked with on Falling for Christmas. That movie saw Lohan play a newly engaged hotel heiress suffering from amnesia following a skiing accident, who finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his daughter.

Irish Wish‘s cast also includes Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, Jacinta Mulcahy, and Jane Seymour. The upcoming film makes for the first of two movies Lohan is making with Netflix as part of a two-picture deal she agreed to following Falling for Christmas. The streamer recently announced that the next film, titled Our Little Secret, is currently in production.

Netflix’ official logline for Our Little Secret reads, “Two resentful exes are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings.” It will costar Kristin Chenoweth, Ian Harding, former Saturday Night Live cast members Jon Rudnitsky, Chris Parnell and Lohan’s Mean Girls costar Tim Meadows.

Irish Wish begins streaming on Netflix March 15.
